Information we collect

When you send us a message, we collect the name, email address, category, country and message you submit. We also record your required privacy-consent confirmation, whether you chose to subscribe to the newsletter and the page or article from which you contacted us.

When you use the newsletter form, we collect your email address. If you subscribe while using the Get Help form, your name may also be added to the subscriber record. Your private message is not added to the newsletter list.

Our hosting, security and email providers may process technical information such as an IP address, browser information, request time and security logs when they deliver or protect the website.

How we use information

• To read and respond to messages you choose to send.
• To manage newsletter subscriptions when you explicitly opt in.
• To operate, secure and prevent misuse of the website and its forms.
• To meet legal obligations or protect rights and safety where required.

Choosing to contact us does not automatically subscribe you to marketing. The newsletter checkbox is optional and unchecked by default.

Services that process information

We use Cloudflare to deliver and protect website services, Resend to deliver form emails and manage opted-in newsletter contacts, and Google Gmail to receive and respond to messages. During development, GitHub may also host or deliver public website files.

These providers process information under their own security, retention and privacy terms. Information may be processed in countries other than the country where you live.

Storage and retention

Contact messages and related correspondence are normally retained for up to 12 months after the last interaction, unless a longer period is reasonably necessary for security, dispute resolution or legal obligations.

Newsletter contact information is retained until you unsubscribe or ask us to remove it. A limited suppression record may be kept after an unsubscribe so that we can respect your choice not to receive future messages.

Cookies and local preferences

We do not currently use advertising cookies or website analytics. Your language preference may be stored locally in your browser so the site can remember your selection. Third-party infrastructure providers may use essential technologies or logs to operate and secure their services.

Sharing and selling

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share information only with service providers needed to operate the website and communications, or when disclosure is required by law or reasonably necessary to protect rights and safety.

Your choices

You may ask to access, correct or delete information you submitted, or withdraw newsletter consent. You can unsubscribe using the link in a newsletter or contact us directly. Some rights depend on the law that applies where you live.

If you are a minor, avoid including highly sensitive information and, where it is safe to do so, consider asking a trusted adult for help before submitting personal information.

Protecting your information

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to reduce unauthorized access. No online transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure. Never send passwords, verification codes, recovery codes or financial information through the form.

Contact and updates

For privacy questions or requests, use our Get Help form and select “Something Else (Not Sure).” We may update this notice as the website and services change. The latest version and update date will appear on this page.
